I was happy to see that recently the Sky TV Software user interface has changed Sky HD subscribers, this is great development.Because, although Sky TV subscribers decided to upgrade or go for the new Sky HD product, they got the same user interface as other Sky Standard subscribers and Sky + subscribers, the digibox was different but the software remained the same for a considerable amount of time.
I don’t think this was a good cal for Sky as when people pay more money for your products, one would expect an all round better product, including the look and feel of the software, not just the hardware.
I am pleased to say now that Sky have decided to release the next version of the software to the Sky HD subscribers and it seems really good initially. With a number of new features including programming information on all channels and times whilst you are watching a program and a live view of any current program whilst you are browsing the TV guide.
At the moment, it all seems to be working smoothly with no major bugs being reported, it will be interesting to see in what direction the next Sky user interface will go.
