On this occasion we willl be going through the details relating to satellite TV on a Sky Q or Sky + HD box.  The No satellite signal is being received message is a common fault which can be usually resolved easily by yourself. Unfortunatly as this is an error message relating to the signal / installation our team are not able to send signals to remove this message. As it says ‘no satellite signal is being received’ therefore no signal we send will help. Therefore the the procedurs below may help.

The message box is initialising, mini tv not available or no satellite signal is beinreceived means that you are not receiving a signal for this channel

Please try switching the box off, unplugging it , reconnecting then switching the box on again. Checking the two connections at the back of the box from the dish can also help. If the message continues to show please try the processes on the FAQ section of our website for this message. http://www.skycards.eu/faqs#faq_23

Adverse weather, dish alignment and obstructions in the alignment of the dish are all factors which can result in you not receiving a signal.

If the problem persists then a good local satellite installer will be able to check the installation to see why you are unable to receive a signal for these channels.

There can be many reasons for the lack of signal and this can change from week to week and channel to channel. The time of year can result in better / worse signal due to the Earth’s position in relation to the satellites, additionally atmospherics, heat, light are all factors which can affect signals. Each channel is on a differnet transponder setting so some channels may be able to be received when others aren’t. BBC , BT Sports and ITV are notoriously difficut to receive in Southern Europe as they are on the UK Spot Beam satellite of astra 2F and 2G.
If you only have one cable running fromt he dish to your Sky HD box please try setting the box to single feed mode.
