I have been looking at the Sky remote lately including the Standard Sky remote control, Sky + remote control and the Sky + HD remote control.
And it’s interesting to see the way they have changed over time since the standard Sky remote control, but essentially then haven’t changed much at all, they all are about the same size and not much difference in colour, sure the latest Sky HD remote control has a nice chrome finish to it, but not much else.
I would have expected that when Sky introduced the latest Sky HD products they would have made a big overhaul to the look and feel of all the hardware and software Sky use with their products but it never happened, although we can see some change in the way the remote controls looked, its nothing revolutionary is it!
I hope that when Sky release future products that they really put loads of effort into the Sky TV remote control, especially when Sky + HD 3D comes out, I expect the remote to look dazzling and I hope the branding for such a launch matches it especially on items such as the Sky card and marketing materials.
Generally I do like the Sky image but, lets have something groundbreaking!
